In regard to the 10 – 15 year vesting for post employment health benefits ( AB 2053). The door is left open to include current employees. By concensus, it will probably be negotiated in this manner; because, true savings can not be realized on new hires alone.

BtRT will announce the winner of the bid to manufacture the trains Thursday, April 26 at the BART Board meeting. Funding schemes will be introduced. The funding scheme will probably represent funds coming from the general fund to help capitalization.
The BART SEIU elections were conducted SAT April 14th. The “A” Team scored an across the board victory – winning all seats. Best of luck in their endeavors to lead the BART Chapter as we enter a challenging era of service delivery!
